David’s responsibilities include developing and implementing safety programs and policies, helping ensure that the company promotes a proactive safety culture. On a day-to-day basis, he is actively involved in conducting risk assessments, providing worker training and education, reporting and investigating incidents, performing safety inspections and audits, and staying current on OSHA regulations. Additionally, David oversees our entire fleet of vehicles, working to promote the safety of our drivers on the road.

Expertise

David has worked at Hansen since 2007, holding various positions related to site safety and health. He began as a Site Safety Coordinator and was promoted to Field Safety Supervisor within two years. He has overseen safety for several large projects and was promoted to his current position as Safety Director, where he strives for continuous improvement in our overall safety performance.

David studied occupational safety and health at Columbia Southern University. His certifications and training include:
